Poor internet, no room clean / servicing, and constant dehumidifier noise

Clean room, and the staff are helpful, but.... - The internet is slow and cuts in and out all the time making work difficult. - The rooms are not serviced throughout the stay (5 days) - The room has a dehumidifier going 24/7 as additional noise in the room, that has a warning sign if you turn it off or adjust it you will incur a fine. No - I dont recommend.

i stayed at Mantra Trilogy for 3 nights from the 13th of May...........on arrival from Mackay around 5pm i had issues with finding a designated carpark and expressed my frustrations to reception.........I was extremely impressed with how Santiago (employee of Trilogy) handled the situation and went above and beyond in not only finding a park for me and even able to help me take my luggage up to my room .............all this in the pouring rain ................thank you so much Santiago you made my week especially when you spoke fluent Italian during our conversation ...apologies for being so difficult

Pros: - Right on the esplanade, ocean views if you secure the right room, great views... amazingly central location - Bed and pillows surprisingly comfortable - even in nice hotels sometimes pillows are a nightmare - Lovely staff - Spacious rooms - laundry and lots of closet space for the room we had (1 bedroom + living) - Air con works great - much needed for the hotter days Cons: - Mold all along base of shower - needs a lot of work... - High-speed wifi constantly drops out, had to use my hotspot (I was here for work) and drained all of my data allowance in one week. If you're here for a holiday, it may not be such an issue for you but it was a disaster for me Middle ground: - Cleanliness level wasn't terrible, but noticeable areas in the room that seemed to have been missed (depends on your level of cleanliness expectation, some may not be bothered by a couple of dirt patches)

Great accommodation.. car parking a major issue.

1 bedroom room was the redeeming factor in my stay. Well set out , small kitchen with everything required and washing machine and dryer. Much appreciated after 2 weeks of trekking overseas. The bed was so comfortable. No view from room ..just straight out as ground level to the next hotel and near the walking path, which meant I had to leave curtains closed the majority of time. Average review given as I spent 1.5 hours each time I left hotel in my rental car trying to find a parking spot anywhere within walking distance ! Only minimal and I mean minimal parking available by hotel . I admit it was the Easter weekend. Parking on the street meant I had to be out of bed by 0830 to obtain a 3 hour parking ticket to ensure I didn't get fined. After travelling for over 24 hours .. ughhh. Location is great .

Great location and a great base

Very well located and a great base for our trip. Despite being right on the esplanade noise was not an issue. We had a 2 bed apartment, which although not a sea view still had a partial sea view. The beds are comfy, showers good and powerful, kitchen area reasonably well appointed including pod coffee machine. The laundry facilities were useful. Aircon, fans and dehumidifier were also great at keeping the room comfortable. The rooms were clean on arrival, although they are not serviced daily but you can get new towels, loo roll etc from reception. You can also ask for the room to be serviced. We actually preferred this. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Gym was pretty good with a range of aerobic equipment and some weight machines but no free weights. The pool is well designed with a 25m lap pool connected but usefully seperate to the leisure / kids area meaning you can actually swim laps. It was slightly let down by some minor maintenance issues. One of 2 lifts in our tower out of order for the whole stay, shower leaks onto bathroom floor and the pool doesn’t seem to get cleaned often enough. There were quite a lot of leaves in it, plus random other things at times including a chair and a corkscrew. None of this detracted from a great stay.
