We had an amazing experience at Rixos Downtown and couldn’t recommend it enough. The amenities and staff were absolutely wonderful and always greeted us with the warmest smiles every morning. My kids loved the pool area and the beach club was also so beautiful!

Everything was perfect !!! A lot of choice at the restaurant. The staff is always taking care of you at any time. The room was very comfortable. Yunus, was awesome at the réception, Also, Cemal took good care of us. The access to the beach is easy.

Not Rixos Standard – Disappointed and Let Down

1. No Indoor Pool or Water Slides These are basic expectations at a Rixos resort, especially when traveling with children. There was no clear communication beforehand that these facilities were not available, and had we known, we would never have booked this property. 2. Boring and Repetitive Evening Entertainment The entertainment offered was uninspired and minimal. There was no atmosphere, no variety, and no real effort to create enjoyable evenings for guests. This was incredibly disappointing for a hotel that claims to be 5-star. 3. Cats Everywhere – Severe Hygiene & Allergy Risk Cats were freely roaming throughout the restaurants, including the a la carte dining area. This is not only unhygienic but completely unacceptable—especially when a guest, my sister, is severely allergic. Despite raising this issue multiple times with staff, absolutely nothing was done. My sister had to leave her birthday dinner without finishing her food. That’s not just poor service—it’s a failure in duty of care. 4. Room Not Cleaned for Two Full Days Our room was ignored by housekeeping for two consecutive days, despite reminders. This level of neglect is outrageous at any hotel, let alone one that carries the Rixos brand. 5. Old Hotel Poorly Refurbished The rooms and facilities are outdated, worn down, and nowhere near the modern, luxurious environment Rixos advertises. This is clearly a tired old hotel given a light refurbishment, and it shows. For the high price we paid and the brand reputation we trusted, this stay was a complete letdown. It did not meet even basic expectations—let alone the premium experience Rixos promises. This trip was ruined by poor service, lack of facilities, and serious health and hygiene oversights.

While we do not feature waterslides or a traditional indoor pool on-site, we are pleased to offer our guests complimentary access and transfer to The Land of Legends theme park, where a wide range of attractions—including water slides, shows, and entertainment for all ages—are available daily. This exclusive benefit is part of our hotel concept and is highly valued by many of our guests. While we do not feature waterslides or a dedicated indoor pool, this information is available on all official platforms and booking channels to ensure transparency prior to reservation. 2. Entertainment Concept Our hotel follows a "Soft Animation" concept, designed to align with the tranquil and refined atmosphere of the property. This includes live music or DJ performances in the evenings, providing a relaxed and sophisticated experience. Additionally, our Exclusive Sports Club offers a diverse daily schedule of sports and wellness activities to keep guests energized and engaged throughout the day. 3. Animal Presence on Property We understand your concern and would like to emphasize that we operate in full compliance with local laws, which protect stray animals. Our team takes daily hygiene measures seriously, and while outdoor areas occasionally see the presence of cats, we act responsibly to manage this within all public health guidelines. We regret the discomfort caused to your family member and assure you that your comments have been shared with our management and hygiene teams for further evaluation. 4. Housekeeping Services Our housekeeping team is normally diligent and responsive. A delay in cleaning is not in line with our standards, and we will investigate this internally to ensure future consistency. Guests are always welcome to contact our Guest Relations team, available on-site to resolve any issue promptly. 5. Hotel Condition We acknowledge that some areas of the hotel would benefit from further refurbishment. We are pleased to share that a phased renovation plan is already underway, aiming to enhance room comfort and refresh the overall interior aesthetic in line with Rixos standards. Finally, if you need any assistance or have any special requests during your stay, we always recommend that you contact our Guest Relations team at any time. The bed is comfortable and everything is clean and the resort is clean too and the room smells nice And the service is respectful and nice And locations are very good and the hotel is in the Center so we can go anywhere and is next to shopping centre and activities!
