Hotel is very contemporary with a very warm feeling. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it had everything we needed. Restaurant was good quality but menu is limited. Staff are amazing although we did find the housekeeping was quite inconsistent. Mary in the Restaurant was sensational in every way. Janelle and Zac in the bar and Rob the duty manager also deserve a special mention for their customer engagement. We will return again.

An amazing experience after a few poor ones.

I regularly stay at The Sebel for business trips, but during my visit in February this year, I noticed the motel looked tired and unkept. On that visit, my fridge wasn’t working, the toilet only had one functioning flush button, and the shower pressure was very low. I wasn’t planning to book again, but with no other accommodation available this time, I returned and I’m very glad I did. Initially, I had planned to head into town for dinner, but I decided to give the on-site restaurant another try. I’m pleased I stayed. The improvements were noticeable from the moment I arrived. The property looked clean and well-maintained, with painters painting and gardener’s working on the lovely gardens. My room was spotless, everything worked as it should, and the shower now with great pressure was so good I stayed in it way too long! The restaurant experience was excellent. I enjoyed a delicious pizza one night and a beautifully cooked steak the next. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive, which really enhanced the experience. As always, the location is a highlight. Sitting on the balcony looking at boat’s in river with a glass of wine and a good book at sunset is the perfect way to wind down after a long day. It’s great to see The Sebel returning to form. I look forward to staying again.

Visited here recently for breakfast. It is a beautiful place right in the lake Mulwala and the views are magnificent. We both ordered egg and bacon dishes with sourdough toast. This was a well presented feast that was a large serve and perfectly cooked. Accompanied by very good coffee soaking up some the view was a top experience.

Considering the $300 a night tariff, the Sebel was disappointing. Whilst the architecture is impressive, some things are poor. There are only 2 mugs, 2 glasses & 2 teaspoons in each room. Some cereal plates would be appreciated. The water in the showers was lukewarm & the extracter fan was ineffective. The bathroom was unnecessarily enormous & cold & more space could have been given to the bedroom area. There were no bedside tables, only a chair to put things on. Lighting was poor. The air conditioner was set on 22 degrees but the room was cold. Overall it was over priced for what you got.

Such a relaxing place. The staff are so helpful and accommodating (special thanks to Karen and Rob). The accommodation is great and food is excellent in the restaurant. Being on the lake it is so peaceful and a bonus. Great pool. No loud traffic noises just the sounds of nature. We could not fault the Sebel Yarrawonga. We will be back. In fact I’d love to come back for Easter.
