Accor plus platinum member but didn't receive an upgrade as was told there was none available, upon checking the Accor app plenty of availability was showing for next room category so was flat out lied to. Room was fine has been renovated at some point as the hotel seems pretty old. Was very expensive but is the only Accor property in Geelong. Welcome gift was a red wine despite listening our preference as white. Breakfast was good but hate it when they charge extra for real coffee.

Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to write the above review and I appreciate the feedback. Looking at your reservation I can see that you stayed with us early April and the night you stayed we had three rooms left to sell at the time of check in being our Queen Accessible Rooms and top suite. Whilst this is an upgrade opportunity, as you had not booked an accessible room we did not want to assume and as for the top suite, this is four categories above the room booked. I do hope the previous gives clairty as to why no upgrade was provided. I do apologise that the notes on the preferences were not read for your amenity, something we are definitely looking into here at the hotel to provide personalised experiences with us and will be improving this. We do very much value you, just like every other guest but more so as a Platinum member and would love to welcome you back to ensure your opinion of the hotel changes. Poor Service and Room

Front desk staff rude and provided poor service. Room very plain, carpet stained, windows dirty. The advertised King Bed room is actually two twin beds shoved together! Parking quite expensive ($30 per day for remote self park or $45 per day for valet!). We are frequent visitors to Geelong but will not stay here again.

Hotel itself is OK with good position on foreshore but they certainly don't know how to handle members of the Accor Plus loyalty program

Waterfront oasis of comfort and calm

Great location right on the waterfront, very comfortable beds and friendly staff. There is an indoor pool, large gym and valet parking (A$40 per night). The onsite bar and restaurant also serves breakfast. Our room was quiet with tea and coffee making facilities, it was clean and spacious with a lot of natural light, and we slept very well. You can walk out the front door to the pier. I would return here.

The staff from check in to the room were amazing, they were so accommodating and provided my wife and I with all the recommendations within the area. Great location and service. Couldn’t fault the staff at Novotel.. Will definitely come back on our next trip to Geelong 😊 Thank you Novotel.
