Honestly vile. I arrived in my room on my birthday with my partner. To find in the bathroom there were numerous amounts of hairs in the bath tub, which being 8 months pregnant I would’ve liked to use the facility but it was just vile. When we arrived back in the evening, I was looking for a plug socket and decided to check behind the bed to see if there was one near the bedside only instead to find a previous persons PJS down the side of the bed along with a load of rubbish!!!! The room had not been cleaned thoroughly and it was very disappointing I actually had to sleep with clothes on because I felt so disgusting to be in there, if I wasn’t so heavily pregnant I would’ve gone to the effort to find somewhere else. I have emailed twice with picture and video evidence and no response, says a lot about them, vile just vile

Reading your comments is deeply upsetting, and I am truly sorry that your room was in such an unacceptable condition. The cleanliness issues you described are far below the standards we aim to maintain, and it's extremely concerning that these were not addressed before your arrival. We understand how important a clean and comfortable environment is — especially during pregnancy — and I’m sorry we failed you in this regard. I’m also very sorry to hear that your previous emails have gone unanswered. This is not the level of responsiveness we expect from our team, and I will be personally investigating why your concerns were not acknowledged sooner. Please know that your feedback has been escalated to our senior housekeeping and management teams for immediate action. If you're open to it, I would very much like to speak with you directly to offer a more personal apology and discuss how we can make this right.

A really basic and dated hotel. The staff seem so used to dealing with disgruntled guests, that they no longer care. On the hottest day of the year, I asked prior to check in, if there was air conditioning in the rooms and was assured yes there was. Get to the room, and there is a fan sat on the desk, as the air conditioning didn’t work. Why not just be honest? This seemed to be the case for the full hotel. Sat in a conference room for full day conference and it was stifling. No ice in the jugs of water, at dinner, wine had been sat out so was warm. Just no care or attention given. No one asked on check out about the stay, as I guess they know the answer. Everywhere felt just a little bit grubby. For the price point, there are much nicer hotels in Manchester.

We sincerely regret that the air conditioning was not functioning as expected, particularly during such warm weather, and that this was not communicated clearly to you beforehand. We're also sorry to hear that the conference environment and dining experience were uncomfortable and did not meet basic expectations — these are not the standards we aim to uphold. Your comments about cleanliness and the general atmosphere are especially concerning. An absolute hovel, not a 4 star hotel, not a 3 star, pushing at a 2 star, rooms were unclean, blood droplets in the bathroom and the first room absolutely stank, also we had booked 3 rooms for a family celebration for 3 nights, 2 of our rooms had to be changed twice due to smell, someone's belongings still in another of the room, book elsewhere this is not a nice hotel whatsoever, still waiting on points offered by the assistant manager, emailed him no reply, why am I not surprised.....

Compared with other hotels in this group this one is relatively basic, but so was the cost. It was quiet and comfortable, and well located, in walking distance from Piccadilly station. The room was quiet. The restaurant on the 3rd floor was good.

The location of this hotel is perfect, it’s central to lots of amenities e.g canal street, lots of bars and pubs and shops. There’s also plenty of parking options nearby. Ian, Daniel and Becca on reception were very friendly and accommodating. They even offered us mimosas on arrival, which I thought was a nice touch considering we were there for a sten do. The rooms were spacious and clean. But they could be done with a touch up. The bathrooms were clean as well, but leaked whenever we’d take a shower and they were really small, it’s a bit of struggle if you’re slightly taller than average. Although there’s climate control in the room and we’d put the air con on, it was still really hot, so we didn’t have the best nights sleep. Overall, would recommend the hotel because of the location and service, but the temperature of the rooms was awful.
