Excellent location, terrible shower

Would have been a 5 rating but the shower was awful - just a few drips, took 15 minutes to wash and rinse my hair properly. We have complained. Apart from that, the reception staff were welcoming, the bed and pillows were comfortable and it is in an excellent location for exploring the city. There is a tram stop (Line A) more or less outside the hotel (Palais de Justice stop), but we walked everwhere. Would recommend a trip to St Emilion, it's stunning. Easy to get there by train - get a tram from hotel to Place de Bourgogne, change to Line C or D to get to the train station (Gare St Jean). On arrival to St Emilion, the village is about 15 mins walk uphill.

We have stayed many times at this hotel. Sadly, when we woke up on the last morning the carpet was soaking wet over most of the floor area. Because of this, we packed up and left the room early. The staff on reception, when we told them about this, simply said "we know about this" but we got NO apology. VERY disappointing.

Great location, clean but slightly dated room, but lacking in some basics like facilities to make a hot drink - no kettle & no hope of getting one from reception despite asking & being told they would resolve it. Bar staff were pleasant & helpful.

We stayed for 6 days, I was a little tensed after reading the last 2 reviews also asked them to kindly not give us room 1121 and more than 1 towel and a bug free room , it was clean done cleaning daily with reasonable breakfast and very friendly /helpful staff , I have no complaints , would highly recommend , the plus was the location right in front of the tram station

***BED BUGS*** we stayed for 3 nights, the bed bugs bites all over from the first night. They changed our room, still bad bugs. Please avoid this garbage “hotel”. The staff is rude, no AC, the rooms are old , very dirty and on top we got bed bugs. We asked to talk to a manger they said come ask in the afternoon and that was all three days so we didn’t see a managers. They know they have a bed bugs and clean all these review from Google. Stay elsewhere…total disappointment
